Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) baseball team hosted Southwestern Christian University (SCU) in a three-game series over the weekend. The first game of the series was an extra inning thriller, headlined by Augustin Martinez 11 strikeouts; an 11^th inning run by SCU propelled them to an 12-11 victory. In the second game a late rally by the Lions put them in position to either tie or win late but SCU was able to close the game out with a final score of 5-4. In the final game of the series the Lions took an early lead in the 3^rd inning, but a four-run burst by SCU helped them take the win 4-1. The Lions will be back in action against Oklahoma City University this upcoming weekend in Oklahoma City.
