Michael Watson of Southwestern Assemblies of God picked up his second career Oklahoma Ford Dealers Sooner Athletic Conference baseball pitcher of the week honor.
Pitcher of the week: Michael Watson | LHP | Jr. | Glen Rose, Texas
Michael Watson held Science & Arts, ranked 19th in the NAIA, to one run on three hits and two walks while striking out 10 in seven innings for his first complete-game outing of the season Saturday in Waxahachie, Texas. Watson notched his second double-digit strikeout total in a row. He retired the Drovers in order in the first, third and sixth innings and propelled Southwestern Assemblies of God to the three-game sweep of the series. Watson improved to 4-0 with a 2.50 earned run average with 52 strikeouts in 36 innings in 2023.
