In SAC series opener, Stars defeat Lions

Oklahoma City, OK – On Friday evening at the Jim Wade Stadium in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the No. 24 Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lions baseball team faced the Oklahoma City University (OCU) Stars in a Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) series opener 

 

Lions Review: 

The SAGU Lions were bested by the Oklahoma City Star 0-9. The OCU Stars put up an excellent pitching effort against the Lions team.

The Lions' difficulties during the game were additionally exacerbated by their three total fielding errors during the day.

For SAGU, Bryson Collins contributed two hits, Craig Venable, Ryan Saxton, and Andrew Ortiz each added one hit during their at-bats.

The game saw base stealer Bryson Collins, who leads the Sooner Athletic Conference, succeed in his attempt at stealing a base.

On Saturday, April 8th, Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) will face Oklahoma City University in a doubleheader to close their road series.
