Waxahachie, TX - In a pulsating showdown, the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) baseball team delivered a riveting performance as they clashed head-to-head with the nationally-ranked Oklahoma City University (OCU) Stars in a crucial doubleheader to conclude their Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) series.
Game 1
In the opening contest, the Lions triumphed with a resilient 7-5 victory over Oklahoma City. Xavien Thompson showcased his prowess at the plate, going 2 for 3 with a double, notching 2 runs, and securing an RBI. Andrew Ortiz contributed by scoring a run while Dominick Padilla delivered a stellar 3 for 4 performance, adding a run and 2 RBIs to the scoreboard. Eli Lyons electrified with a flawless 4 for 4 display, including 3 doubles and 2 RBIs. Timothy Compomizzi and Alejandro Garcia also made impactful contributions. On the mound, Neco Lopez, Reagan Smith, and Kaden Kneip combined efforts to secure the Lions' victory.

In the subsequent match, the Lions faced a tough challenge, succumbing to a narrow 5-3 loss against Oklahoma City.
