Late Heroics Seal Victory As SAGU Lions Outlast No. 22 MACU On The Road

Oklahoma City, OK - The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lions delivered a jaw-dropping performance, clinching an exhilarating 11-10 victory over the No. 22 Mid-America Christian University (MACU) in a nail-biting nine-inning clash, marking an unforgettable conclusion to their Sooner Athletic Conference showdown.

Lions Review 
The Lions showcased their prowess both at the plate and on the mound, with standout performances leaving fans on the edge of their seats. Avery Chatman led the offensive charge, launching a remarkable home run while going 1 for 1. Jaxson Bates proved instrumental, going 1 for 4 with a crucial double, contributing to a run and notching 2 RBIs. Wesley Flatt displayed his hitting prowess, going 2 for 5, while Andrew Ortiz and Xavien Thompson ignited the scoreboard, each scoring 2 runs and tallying RBIs. Dominick Padilla and Josh Pinter also made significant contributions, combining for 5 hits and 4 RBIs, respectively. Timothy Compomizzi added to the offensive onslaught, scoring a run.

On the mound, Matthew Hickey kicked off the game with a valiant effort, pitching 4.2 innings and striking out 5, despite allowing 4 earned runs on 5 hits. Justin De Los Santos, Cade Hendricks, and Reagan Smith showcased their pitching prowess, each making critical appearances to keep the Lions in contention. Kaden Kneip's standout performance earned him the win, while Hayden Mullins closed out the game with a stellar save, securing the Lions' hard-fought victory.
