McPherson, KS – In a Friday showdown packed with fireworks, the Nelson University Lions baseball team battled fiercely in a doubleheader against Central Christian College (Kan.), walking away with a hard-earned split in SAC play.
Game 1
Trailing 9–6 heading into the seventh, the Lions unleashed a furious five-run rally—capped by a towering 3-run blast from Nick Mosley to take the lead. Mosley finished with 3 hits and 5 RBIs, including a stolen base and homer in the clutch.
Zeke Holder was a force at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a triple, a double, and an RBI, while Jaxson Bates added 2 hits, 3 runs, and a double. The Lions swiped five total bases, keeping constant pressure on the Tigers' defense.

Game 2
Despite strong performances from Andrew Ortiz, who launched a 2-run homer and went 2-for-4, and Kaden Moeller, who drove in a key run, the Lions couldn't quite complete the sweep.
Nelson rallied in the sixth with back-to-back doubles and timely hits from Xavien Thompson and Zeke Holder, but Central Christian plated the go-ahead run in the eighth and held on late.
