SAGU Battles Wayland in Final Home Game

 Waxahachie, TX – The SAGU Lions were back on the field as they faced Wayland Baptist University on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Lions Suffered a heartbreak 2-0 loss on senior day as seven seniors played and were honored in their last home game at Lions Field. Hector Romero was the author of the first goal in the 20th minute assisted by Marco Magnoli. However, in the 40th minute the Lions had to play with a man down as senior, Hernaniz Herrera, had to come out of the game. The Lions kept searching for the goal even with a man down, however, in the 75th minute Marco Magnoli sealed the win as he doubled the lead with Hector Romero on the assist.
 
The Lions will be back on the field as they take on Texas Wesleyan on Tuesday, October 26 at 7:30 PM.
