Waxahachie, TX – The SAGU Men's Basketball team took an 85-69 victory over the University of North Texas Dallas on Tuesday night in the Sheaffer Center. The Lions led for a majority of the game as they held the Trailblazers to shooting just 34.7% from the field and 22.7% from three. As a team, the Lions finished the night shooting 54.5% from the field and 55% from three. SAGU would go 11-20 from deep. The Lions now sit at 14-3 on the year and 11-1 in Sooner Athletic Conference play.
Isaiah Boling led SAGU with 21 points going 6-9 from the field and 5-8 from three. Boling also added 5 rebounds and a team high 7 assists.
Joshua Kashila had a good shooting night going 8-11 from the field and finishing with 17 points.
Joel Polius also added 12 points on 4-5 shooting while going 4-6 from the free throw line. Polius and
Nathan Bailey finished with a team high 8 rebounds.
Noah Boling added 9 points as he went 3-4 from three while
Nykolas Mason 4-5 from the field and finished the night with 8 points.
SAGU will continue their home stretch as they face cross town rival Texas Wesleyan University on Thursday, January 20, at 7:45 PM in the Sheaffer Center.
