Wichita, KS: The Lady Lions of Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) faced the Southwestern College (SWC) Moundbuilders at Stewart Field House for the second game on back-to-back days. SAGU defeated SWC in their previous meeting; thus, the Lady Lions entered the contest with aspirations of extending their winning streak.

Lion Review
-
The first quarter was highly contested, for SWC went on a 7-0 run to start the quarter, but they would only connect on 4-of-19 attempts overall.
-
The Lady Lions' opening-period score was sparked by Rylee Lavender's finger roll layup in traffic. The Lady Lions' offensive exploded after the ice was broken.
-
Jazra Williams would corkscrew and score in the paint to establish her dominance, and the Lady Lions would next turn the other way to locate Neely Tilley-Bedick for a three-point conversion.
-
Macy Smith would add two long three-pointers in the opening quarter of play.
-
In the second period, SWC was able to cut into the Lady Lions' scoring advantage, but Jazra Williams' performance prevented them from losing the lead.
-
Rylee Lavender would erupt after the intermission to score half of the team's 18 points in the third period. Lavender's fluid floater, swift pull-ups, and fluid handles allowed her to overcome the defense.
-
In the last period of play, Southwestern played well at the charity stripe, making 10-of-11 attempts to help them close the gap. However, they were unable to remain with SAGU in the other shooting areas. In the final period, the Builders only made 6-of-16 (37.5%) shots, while the Lions shot 50% (7-of-14). Each club hit two three-pointers, but SAGU made enough to maintain control and defeat SC by a score of 86-80.
-
Four Lady Lions were able to score in the double digits: Neeley Tilley-Bedick (19 points), Rylee Lavender (18 points), Jazra Williams (16 points), and Kyla McMinn (13 points).
Son's Spiel
"Really proud of the girls! They keep working hard. Good win on the road in a tough environment. They shot the ball so well, but we held our composure. Lots of good things today," SAGU head women's basketball coach Micheal Sons said.
