Waxahachie, TX: Monday night in the Sheaffer Center in Waxahachie, Texas, the men's basketball team of Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lions matched up against Dallas Christian College (DCC). The Lions showed brilliant cooperation, executing their plays with tremendous efficiency, distributing the ball in lethal fastbreak maneuvers, and ruling the rebounding battle. In tonight's matchup, the Lions defeated the Crusaders in the last 17 meetings between SAGU basketball and Dallas Christian College, with the first meeting occurring on November 8, 2011. The Lions would comfortably defeat the Crusaders 104-65 in front of a boisterous, packed crowd.
Lion Review
-
The scoring for SAGU started with Noah Boling draining a long-range bomb and Brooks Haddocks converting a free throw awarded to the Lions after a Crusader guard earned a flop warning.
-
The aggressive forward tandem of Tyler Kinghorn and Cortland Blake's dominance on the boards would create many fast break opportunities for the quick Lion's team.
-
Before the commencement of the game's first substitutions, the SAGU team was able to pull away with an 18-5 scoring advantage thanks to quick scoring fast breaks.
-
Cory Hicks hammered the conversion off the bench on a breakaway jam after Trace Boling no-looked a pass that he intercepted.
-
By attracting attention with his basket drives, Alerick Hall would proceed to magically dish the basketball, finding his open teammates.

Trace Boling would be found by floor general Alerick Hall for three straight three-pointers, while Philbert Weeks would be found in the sealing position down low.
-
Due to the furious first-half scoring, the Lions led 57-31 at the break. At halftime, Hall had nearly as many assists as the DCC entire squad combined, while Philbert Weeks led SAGU in scoring on a perfect 4/4 from the field.
-
In the second half, Tyler Kinghorn and Noah Boling would command play. The two seniors used their ability to secure rebounds, score baskets, and locate teammates for scoring opportunities.

The bench made a significant contribution to the SAGU cause as well. Substitutes for the Lions outscored the DCC bench 58-24.
-
The Lions eventually scored over 100 points, and Noah Boling finished with impressive all-around statistics of 16 points, six rebounds, and five assists.
