Waxahachie, TX – The SAGU Women's Basketball team fell 85-62 to the 24-3 Mid-America Christian Evangels on Monday in the Sheaffer Center. The Lady Lions gave up eighteen second chance points while the Evangels shot 41% from the field (30-72) and 48% from three (16-33). SAGU couldn't find any offensive rhythm shooting just 30% from the field (21-68) and 16% from three (5-30).
Autumn Moore once again led the Lady Lions with 17 points going 5-8 from the field and 7-8 from the free throw line. Moore also pulled in 5 rebounds and 2 assists.
Jazra Williams followed with 12 points, and
Jaycie Brisco added 10 points while pulling in a team high 8 rebounds and dishing out a team high 6 assists.
The Lady Lions will now face No. 10 Wayland Baptist in Plainview, Texas on Thursday, February 17 at 6:00 PM.
