Waxahachie, TX - Following the joyful celebration of Head Volleyball Coach Hank Moore's remarkable 500th win, the No. 24 Southwestern Assemblies of University (SAGU) Lady Lions brought their A-game to the court against the Oklahoma City University (OCU) Stars at the Sheaffer Center in Waxahachie, Texas. The Lady Lions, unfazed by the previous festivities, secured a resounding victory over OCU in three thrilling sets: 26-24, 25-15, and 25-16.

The opening set was nothing short of electrifying, with fans on the edge of their seats as Bailee Alexander and Abby Wells delivered thunderous kills, sealing the set with style. The Lady Lions' attackers displayed unparalleled dominance in the critical moments of the first set.
In the second set, the Lady Lions showcased their exceptional passing skills, led by the incredible Riley Burcham, who wowed the crowd with stunning no-look passes to set up her teammates. Burcham's remarkable passing ability is a testament to her years of experience as the starting SAGU setter.
In the decisive final set, the Lady Lions' defense once again demonstrated its prowess, closing the match with a resilient performance.

On October 24th at 6:00 PM, they will face off against their arch-rivals, the Texas Wesleyan University Rams, in another thrilling SAC showdown. The Sheaffer Center in Waxahachie, TX, will be the battleground for what promises to be an epic match, as the Rams are the only conference team to have defeated the indomitable Lady Lions.
