Kissimmee, FL - In a spectacle of skill and dominance at the Austin Tindall Sports Complex, the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lady Lions, seeded No. 3, took center stage against the Regent University (RU) Royals in the opening match of their pool play in the D1 NCCAA National Championship Tournament on Tuesday afternoon. The Lady Lions left an indelible mark, securing a resounding 8-0 victory over the No. 6 seeded Royals.

From the opening whistle, the Lady Lions showcased unwavering determination, establishing a formidable 5-0 lead by halftime. Anna Bewley, Stephanie Hernandez, and Kyra Smith spearheaded the scoring onslaught, each finding the back of the net in a display of offensive talent.

The Lady Lions' passing game was nothing short of spectacular, characterized by crisp and unselfish play. Stephanie Hernandez, Anna Bewley, and Ansley Meza orchestrated the first-half scoring plays with precision, tallying crucial assists.

Maintaining their relentless tempo into the second half, the Lady Lions continued their offensive showcase. Freshman powerhouses Stephanie Hernandez and Anna Bewley added to their goal tally, solidifying an 8-0 victory and sending a clear message to their competition.
