Lions Review
The Lady Lions' starting five came out with an incredible burst of energy, catching Abilene Christian off guard and forcing them into a slow start. At the end of the first period, the SAGU squad held a slim lead of 18-17. Wendy Clemmons, leading the charge with fierce and sharp play, orchestrated great offensive possessions and caused disruptions on the defensive end.
As halftime approached, SAGU faced some turnover issues, allowing ACU to regain the scoring advantage.
In the second half, the ACU team used its size advantage to extend their lead, but not without substantial resistance from Agar Farres Garcia and Kyla McMinn. The Lady Lions' forwards made their presence felt in the paint.
