Kissimmee, FL - In a soccer spectacle that kept fans on the edge of their seats at the Austin Tindall Sports Complex, the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lady Lions, seeded No. 3, clashed with No. 5 seed Bethel University in the NCCAA National Championship Tournament. Despite a valiant effort, the Lady Lions' journey came to an end with a narrow 1-0 defeat against Bethel.

The match unfolded as a testament to exceptional soccer talent and defensive prowess from both teams. Early on, a standoff ensued as neither the Lady Lions nor Bethel were willing to give an inch. Anna Bewley, Kyra Smith, and Ansley Meza relentlessly tested the Bethel keeper in the first half, but the score remained deadlocked at zero as the halftime whistle blew.
The second half saw significant midfield contributions from Paula Moreno Gomez and Samantha Delgado, offering the traveling SAGU fans reasons to swell with pride. However, in the 52nd minute, Bethel managed to break the deadlock with a goal that ultimately sealed the fate of the game.
