Fort Worth, TX – On Saturday evening at Sycamore Park) in Fort Worth, Texas, the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lions baseball team faced their crosstown rival, the Texas Wesleyan University (TWU) Rams, in the closing games of their Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) series.
Game 1:
The SAGU Lions lost against Texas Wesleyan in the first game of day two. The Lions had more hits than the Rams, but they couldn't muster enough baserunning to get a runner to home plate.
Matt Daiy and Alejandro Garcia were the SAGU offense's leaders, with two hits each. Sterling Seibold and JV Verdin each contributed one hit.
Ethan Nors pitched admirably in the SAGU defeat, recording a strikeout and only allowing 5 hits overall over the course of his six innings of work.

Game 2:
In the series' final game, SAGU was able to create a run, but they were unable to maintain their offensive momentum and overcome the Rams.
Matt Daiy recorded another performance with two hits. Avery managed to sprint around the bases after a balk to score the only run for SAGU in the game.
Corinthian Jones, Timothy Compomizzi, Alejandro Garcia, and JV Verdin each contributed one hit.
Six strikeouts were recorded by Matthew Hickey in five innings of pitching.
