Plainview, TX - In an electrifying Sooner Athletic Conference clash, the RV Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lions triumphed over No. 23 Wayland Baptist University (WBU) Pioneers in a riveting road contest.
Lions Review
Cortland Blake showcased early dominance with spectacular trail threes and stellar interior defense. The first half witnessed an intense battle, with both teams exchanging blows, fighting for supremacy in the paint and on fast breaks.
JJ Boling's aggressive rebounding, CJ Hall's consistent scoring, and Jacory Dawkins' incredible bench performance fueled SAGU's 44-40 halftime lead. Jacory Dawkins' energy set the tone for the Lions' commanding position.
The second half unfolded with two decisive SAGU scoring runs, featuring Cortland Blake's precision from downtown. Noah Boling's three-pointers and JJ Boling's rebounds sealed a remarkable 92-84 victory.
