Lady Lions Review
The Lady Lions started strong, showing resilience and grit throughout the game. In the opening quarter, Nelson University's sharp-shooting offense managed to put up 17 points, but Southeastern's relentless play led them to a six-point lead, closing the quarter 23-17 in favor of the Fire. The second quarter saw the Lady Lions fight back with impressive teamwork, although they struggled with shooting consistency, hitting only 5 of 15 attempts and scoring 12 points. At halftime, Southeastern maintained a close edge, leading 38-29.

The third quarter brought out a renewed energy in the Lady Lions, as they shot 43.75% from the field, nearly matching Southeastern. Kate Miller, with her dynamic presence, contributed 16 points along with 10 rebounds, notching a double-double performance. Miller's relentless play on both ends kept the Fire defense on their toes. Alongside her, Autumn Moore showcased her offensive skills, adding 16 points with a remarkable 4-5 from the free-throw line, consistently converting under pressure.

In the fourth quarter, Nelson fought to cut the gap, with Paris Miller making her presence known from beyond the arc, hitting 2 out of 5 three-pointers and totaling 13 points. Lauryn Scalise also stepped up, adding 9 points and playing a pivotal role off the bench, sparking the Lady Lions with energy. However, Southeastern's defense tightened in the final minutes, holding the Lady Lions to just 17 points in the last quarter and ultimately securing their 75-64 victory.
