Nelson University Lions Dismantle Central Christian 81-60 in Thrilling Conference Showdown

Waxahachie, TX – In a highly anticipated return to the Sheaffer Center, the Nelson University Lions delivered a commanding 81-60 victory over Central Christian College (Kan.) on Thursday night in front of an electrified home crowd. The Lions, now 7-3 on the season and 5-2 in Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) play, put on a showcase of tenacity and sharp execution.

The Lions started strong, outscoring the Tigers 36-28 in the first half with crisp ball movement and an aggressive defensive stance. Senior guard CJ Hall led the charge, lighting up the scoreboard with 21 points on an efficient 8-for-16 shooting performance, including three clutch three-pointers. His energy electrified the home crowd as he sank shots with laser precision.

Second-half adjustments turned up the heat for the Lions, as they surged ahead with a dominant 45-32 run to close out the game. The Lions displayed incredible depth, racking up 43 bench points to showcase their squad's versatility. Trace Boling delivered an impressive 15 points off the bench, while Noah Jonker contributed 11 key points, including a dazzling performance in the paint on the offensive glass and beyond the arc.
