Waxahachie, TX - The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lions unleashed an offensive onslaught in a doubleheader showdown against the Central Baptist College (CBC) Mustangs at the Lions Athletic Complex in Waxahachie, Texas on Friday afternoon.
Game 1
In the opener, the Lions' bats exploded, securing a commanding 23-6 victory over Central Baptist. Dominick Padilla showcased his prowess, going a perfect 4 for 4 at the plate with a home run and 2 doubles, contributing 4 runs and 4 RBIs. Cade Hendricks and Andrew Ortiz also delivered standout performances, each going 3 for 4 with significant offensive contributions. Matthew Hickey dominated on the mound, tallying 11 strikeouts over 5 innings to secure the win.
Game 2
The Lions carried their momentum into the second game, clinching an 11-2 win over Central Baptist. Andrew Ortiz continued his hot streak, blasting 2 home runs and driving in 4 RBIs, while Caden Hendricks and Avery Chatman showcased their offensive prowess, propelling the Lions to victory. Ethan Nors delivered a stellar performance on the mound, striking out 7 batters over 6 innings to secure the win.
