Waxahachie, TX - In a thrilling conclusion to their series, the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lions showcased their prowess against the Central Baptist College (CBC) Mustangs, securing an impressive 8-4 triumph at the Lions Athletic Complex in Waxahachie, Texas this Saturday afternoon.
Lions Review
The Lions exhibited a formidable display of skill and determination, with standout performances across the board. Leading the charge was Andrew Ortiz, who dominated the plate with a stellar 3 for 4 performance, notching a run and an RBI. Zeke Holder contributed significantly, going 2 for 4 while adding a run and an RBI to the scoreboard. Wesley Flatt showcased his hitting prowess, finishing the game 2 for 3 with a run scored and two RBIs, further bolstering the Lions' offensive onslaught.
On the pitching front, Reagan Smith delivered a commendable performance, securing the win with 4.2 solid innings on the mound, striking out four while conceding only 2 earned runs on 5 hits. Hayden Mullins sealed the deal, delivering a clutch save with 4.1 innings of stellar pitching, striking out 2 while allowing just 1 earned run on 2 hits.
