Chickasha, OK - The showdown between the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lions and the University of Science and Arts (USAO) Drovers in a Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) doubleheader was nothing short of intense Sunday evening in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Game 1
In a closely contested battle, the Lions suffered a tough 4-2 loss to USAO. Nick Mosley and Timothy Compomizzi provided sparks of offense, each going 2 for 3 with a powerful home run. Despite Ethan Nors' valiant effort on the mound, going 4.1 innings and allowing only 2 earned runs, the Lions couldn't secure the win. Hayden Mullins stepped in for relief but couldn't stifle the Drovers' offense, allowing an earned run on 2 hits.
Game 2
The Lions fought hard in the second game but ultimately fell 12-4 to the Drovers. Xavien Thompson led the offensive charge, going 2 for 3 with a homer and driving in 4 runs. James Maddox Henderson and Wesley Flatt contributed to the effort, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Drovers' onslaught. Despite Neco Lopez's solid pitching performance, lasting 4 innings and giving up only 2 earned runs, the Lions couldn't hold off the Drovers' relentless attack. Reagan Smith and Justin De Los Santos tried to stem the tide in relief but couldn't turn the tide in favor of the Lions.
