Marshall, TX – Thursday evening, the Nelson University Lady Lions embarked on a historic journey as they traveled to Marshall, TX, to face the Wiley University Wildcats in the 2024 season opener. This match marked a significant milestone for the Lady Lions, as it was their first under the new Nelson University name following the rebranding from Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU). The Lady Lions made history in style, overpowering the Wildcats in a stunning 10-1 victory, setting a high bar for the season ahead.
