Conway, Arkansas – The Nelson University Lady Lions showed grit in a tough doubleheader against Central Baptist College on Thursday. Â
Game 1
The Lady Lions struck first with Madyson Wiggins scoring in the second, but CBC responded with runs in the third and fifth to edge out a 2-1 win. Sasha Jennings led with two hits, while Natalie Zamora pitched six strong innings, allowing just one earned run. Â
Game 2
Down 3-0 in the sixth, Brooke Kinnibrugh sparked a comeback with a two-run double before Kaeli Lynn tied it in the seventh. CBC, however, walked it off for a 4-3 win. Jennings led with three hits, while Trista Ford and Makinzy Kneip contributed key plays. Â

The Lady Lions head to Oklahoma City to face Bethel College (KS) at 2:00 PM and Haskell Indian Nations University at 4:00 P* at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex. Â
