McPherson, KS – The Nelson University Lady Lions stormed into Central Christian College on Thursday night and delivered a powerful performance, securing an 80-66 victory in Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) action.

Nelson wasted no time setting the tone, jumping to an early 22-17 lead in the first quarter. The second quarter was a clinic in efficiency, as the Lady Lions shot a scorching 70.6% from the field, extending their advantage to 49-37 at halftime. 

Though Central Christian fought back with a strong third quarter, Nelson's dominant inside presence and rebounding sealed the win. The Lady Lions out-rebounded Central Christian 53-25, controlling the glass and second-chance opportunities.

Key Stats and Performances

Wendy Clemmons led all scorers with 20 points, 16 rebounds, and 6 assists, showcasing her all-around brilliance.

Kate Miller was a force inside, tallying 16 points and 14 rebounds for a massive double-double.

Paris Miller added 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists, demonstrating her versatility.

Autumn Moore and Neeley Tilley-Bedick chipped in 10 points each, rounding out a balanced offensive effort.

The Lady Lions dominated the paint (42 points inside) and won the battle of second-chance points (11-5), proving too much for the Tigers to handle.
