Coach McMullen comes to SAGU after three years of coaching on the junior college level, making stops at Fort Scott Community College (2022-2023) and Temple College (2020-2022). McMullen has played a significant role in the improvement of both programs. In just his second year as assistant at Temple, they surpassed the 20-win mark after only having five wins the year before.Â
Coach McMullen completed his master's in Kinesiology from Hardin Simmons and his Bachelor's Degree at SAGU.Â
McMullen was a part of the Men's Basketball team at SAGU from 2018-2020. During his time, he was a part of a group that went 25-7 and won the conference tournament, earning the 2nd seed in the National Tournament. He was selected to the All-Tournament Team in 2020. McMullen also received the NAIA Scholar Team Award.Â
