Coach Moore enters his 24th season as the head volleyball coach at Nelson University. Moore graduated from Evangel College with an M.S. degree in Physical Education and Recreation and from Texas A&M University-Commerce with a Masters Degree in Kinesiology. For the last 25 years of his career, he has served as a faculty member and has coached volleyball for the last 23 years. During this time Nelson volleyball has grown into National Contenders year in and year out. Our volleyball program is a Scholar Athletic Team Award winner almost every year. Over the past 23 years he has been named conference coach of the year 5 times. In the Sooner Athletic Conference, Nelson Volleyball has earned four different conference titles. Moore has coached ten NCCAA All-Americans, three NAIA All-Americans, and two Susan R Hellings Award Winners (this is the highest award given to a female volleyball player in the NCCAA) We have made eight NCCAA National Tournament Appearances with four final fours and two NAIA National Tournament Appearances. Over these 22 seasons, Moore has a coaching record of 483 wins and 286 for a 62% winning record. Coaching at a Christian University is an honor and a privilege. The number of students lives that have been influenced to serve our Lord Jesus Christ is our biggest accomplishment. God has given me the great opportunity to serve students and help them develop spiritually, academically, socially and athletically.
