Waxahachie, TX: The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lions and the Oklahoma Panhandle State University (OPSU) Aggies competed in a Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) game on Saturday afternoon at Life High School in Waxahachie. Notwithstanding the possibility that the match finishes in a draw, one SAC team would triumph in their first conference game because neither club entered the meeting with a victory in conference action. The extremely windy circumstances affected the gameplay, but both teams bravely contested.
Lions Review

Jackson Maxwell's brilliant footwork that nutmegged an Aggie defender early on shook things up for the Lions.

Guilherme Calvacante's communication and tenacity would organize the defensive sequences for the Lion attack.
-
At the halfway point, OPSU led SAGU by two goals boosted by the wind.
-
Aggressive plays throughout the second part of the game resulted in several SAGU corner kicks that Ethan Stewart accurately placed.
-
Juan Ambriz tallied the Lions' first goal in the second half with the help of a beautiful assist from Jonathan Lopez.
-
The Lions were determined to tie the score with the help of their enthusiastic home fans.

-
The Lions succumbed 2-1 in the end despite their best attempts to draw the score and gain the advantage.
Espana's Edition
"We were unfortunate to give up two silly goals against the wind. We keep paying the price for the moments of the game where we make those mistakes. It was a close game where we should have capitalized on our chances with the wind in the second half but we only managed to put one away." SAGU men's soccer associate head coach Cesar Espana noted.
