For two teams whose forwards usually contribute significantly to the number of shots on goal, the first half was remarkably quiet offensively.

-
As the second half of the game began, the home audience gasped as Alexis Roman's shot attempt narrowly missed the goal box.
-
When Beatriz Rodrigues utilized superb footwork to shake an SCU defender out of her cleats, the home crowd shrieked in admiration.
-
Zoe Boldt would employ effective communication to manage traffic and maintain security for the Lady Lion's den.
-
Jordan Shelton's powerful shot that deflected off the defender's heel gave the Lady Lions a chance to break the stalemate.
-
Rylee Thatcher demonstrated the benefits of her weeklong agility training as she sped past Eagle midfielders.
-
The captain of SAGU's women's soccer team, Paula Moreno Gomez, would make significant efforts to send her striker teammates long, precise passes.
-
The Lady Lions would try a goal in the waning seconds by throwing the ball in, but to no effect.
-
With a score of 0 each, the game would conclude in a draw.
