Bethany, OK: Southwestern Christian University (SCU) hosted the Lady Lions volleyball team from Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU).
In a road game, the No. 10 SAGU Lady Lions would overcome the SCU Eagles, led by the star upperclassmen of the Lady Lions, who performed with composure and ferocity.
SAGU (15-0, 7-0) beat SCU (6-9, 1-6) in 4 sets, 25-15, 25-13, 19-25, 25-13

Despite letting the Eagles score first in the opening set, the Lady Lions promptly answered with a kill from Emma Tompkins with assistance from Riley Burcham.

In response to an SCU attack blunder, Emma Tompkins and Alexandra Bonnett would combine up to score a tandem block.

Riley Burcham would send the ball to Lilly Hanna, who would blast it for a Lady Lion kill.

Madison Petten would later provide an assist to Riley Burcham so that she could score a kill of her own.

The opening set was concluded with a score from Ava Myers.

Karena Tipton would continue the Lady Lion onslaught with a kill early in the second set with assistance from Lindi Boling.

The second set finished with a stunning service ace from Emma Tompkins.

The Lady Lions made four errors to begin the third set.

The Lady Lions' mistakes would cost them as the Eagles seized set number three to prevent the sweep.

To respond and win, the composure exhibited by the SAGU upperclassman would be entirely on display in the fourth and decisive set of the contest.

"15-0, but tonight was a real struggle. Karena Tipton had a great night and hit over .500. Overall, our ladies stepped up and played well, but this was a true struggle. We will have to play much better tomorrow," SAGU Head Volleyball Coach Hank Moore said.
