Waxahachie, TX: On Saturday afternoon at the Sheaffer Center in Waxahachie, Texas, the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lady Lions women's basketball team played a Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) contest against the Central Christian College (CCC) Tigers.Â
SAGU trounced the Tigers 100–50 despite their strenuous efforts.

Strong on-ball defense was a recurring theme during the game's opening period. Autumn Moore broke the scoreless tie with a deep three-pointer, but CCC promptly answered with a three of their own.

With five points and fierce defense, Neeley Tilley-Bedick packed a powerful punch on both sides of the floor.

Autumn Moore and Taylor Moravcik continued SAGU's dynamic play in the second period. The pair played beautifully, scored, assisted, and rebounded the ball for the Lady Lions.

When the Lady Lions' bench came into play, they played brilliantly. Jennah Savage and Mary Jo Parker served as the Lady Lions' spark plugs.

SAGU enjoyed a 31-17 lead against CCC at the break. Autumn Moore and Rylee Lavender were the top scorers at the break, with nine and eight points, respectively.

The Lady Lions maintained their stifling defense in the second half of the game, only allowing 21 points and forcing 11 turnovers.

The top scorers for SAGU were Rylee Lavender with 19 and Neeley Tilley-Bedick scoring 17Â (four three-pointers).
