Waxahachie, TX - In a thrilling Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) showdown the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lions football team locked horns with the North American University (NAU) Stallions at Lumpkins Stadium in Waxahachie, Texas. The Lions' senior day celebrations remained unspoiled as they triumphed over the Stallions with a final score of 15-6.

In a first half characterized by intense defensive battles on both sides, it was evident that this matchup would be a clash of formidable defenses. Kicker Jonah Osborne, wearing the SAGU colors, emerged as the hero of the first half, scoring all the points with three brilliantly executed field goals: a 25-yarder, a 42-yarder, and a 40-yarder. These kicks provided the Lions with a 9-0 lead as the halftime intermission arrived.
The second half began with a bang when Paul Odidi, the lightning-fast wide receiver, made an incredible catch in the corner of the endzone, connecting flawlessly with a Briley Green spiral pass for a touchdown.
In the closing moments of the game, things got spicy as the Stallions managed to score a touchdown. After a failed two-point conversion attempt, the Lions made an impressive recovery of an onside kick.
