Brunson, MO - The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lady Lions clashed with the William Woods University (WWU) Owls in a hard-fought battle at the Keeter Gym on Saturday evening. The matchup promised intense action, and the players delivered a game filled with thrilling moments and standout performances.

Despite a strong start, the Lady Lions faced a challenging halftime deficit of 40-28 after a 22-2 scoring run by the Owls.
Kyla McMinn and Agar Farres Garcia showcased their prowess in the paint, contributing to the Lady Lions' early lead. Autumn Moore displayed extreme focus with mid-range jumpers and tenacious rebounding. Wendy Clemmons' post-halftime efforts brought SAGU back into contention, narrowing the scoring gap.
In the closing moments, Rylee Lavender unleashed an impressive scoring spree, notching 17 consecutive points. Despite Lavender's heroics, the Lady Lions fell short, concluding the game with a 76-71 loss.
Key contributors included Lavender with a team-high 21 points, including ? three-pointers, McMinn with 17 points, and Farres Garcia adding 8 points and 12 rebounds.
