Chickasha, OK - The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lady Lions embarked on their 2023-24 Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) journey in Chickasha, facing off against the University of Science and Arts (USAO) Drovers. Unfortunately, the Lady Lions fell short on Teddy bear themed night, succumbing to a 90-67 defeat at the Drover Fieldhouse.
Lady Lions Review
Rylee Lavender showcased offensive prowess in the opening quarter, supported by Wendy Clemmons' precise passing. However, defensive rebounding challenges emerged in the first half, hindering the Lady Lions' efforts.
Gabby Owens delivered a memorable block leading to a special rebound putback, yet the halftime score stood at 40-25 in favor of the Drovers.
The second half saw Agar Farres Garcia's low-post dominance and Autumn Moore's agile scoring, but the Lady Lions couldn't overcome the Drovers' lead.
