McPherson, KS - In a fierce Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) battle at the Jerry Alexander Arena, the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lions showcased their strength against the Central Christian College (CCC) Tigers.
Lions Review
The Lions dominated the glass in the first half, with JJ Boling and Alerick Hall displaying relentless rebounding on both ends of the court. Exploiting defensive lapses from Central Christian, the Lions executed seamless drives to the rim and shared the ball unselfishly.
Team captain
Noah Boling led the charge with a hot hand, contributing 12 first half points, while
CJ Kelley asserted dominance in the paint. At halftime, the Lions held a 40-30 lead over the Tigers.
The second half saw JJ Boling continuing his rebounding dominance, securing every board within his lengthy reach. Boling left an indelible mark on the game with a spectacular baseline drive slam dunk, energizing the Lions.
Crafty scoring from CJ Hall further extended the Lions' lead, ultimately securing an 82-76 victory.
Head Coach Delton Deal commended the team's resilience, stating, "I loved how we bounced back and showed our resilience to pick up a good road win on the back half of our road trip, led by JJ Boling's incredible 18 rebounds."

CJ Hall delivered a standout performance with 28 points and four rebounds, while JJ Boling showcased his rebounding prowess with 18 boards. Noah Boling contributed 21 points, and Alerick Hall played a crucial role with seven assists.
