Langston, OK - In a riveting showdown at the Lions Den of the C.F. Gayles Field House, the RV Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lions faced off against the No. 3 Langston University (LU) Lions in a Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) spectacle, marking the Oklahoma Ford Dealers Game of the Week. Despite a valiant effort, the SAGU Lions emerged on the losing side with an 86-55 scoreline.
Lions Review
The first half witnessed an intense exchange of haymakers as Langston deployed heavy defensive pressure and athleticism to accelerate the pace. Alerick Hall and Noah Boling showcased unwavering poise, while CJ Kelley's dynamic performance, marked by offensive hustle and agile finishes, exemplified the Lions' elite focus.
Dallas Smith's mid-range jump shot concluded the first half with SAGU trailing 41-28. Despite the deficit, seven different Lions contributed to the scoring effort.
