Lion Review

Philbert Weekes was the Lions' offensive leader in the game's opening stanza. Weekes scored buckets at the Gaulke Activity Center by posting defenders aggressively and shooting with great accuracy from mid-range.

Cortland Blake, the current SAC men's basketball player of the week, gave the game a great start by scoring 14 points and draining three three-pointers in the first half. Blake also grabbed five rebounds in the opening period.
-
When Tyler Kinghorn entered the game, he immediately made both of his long-ball efforts, joining in on the three-point shooting merriment.
-
Dallas Smith and Trace Boling, the twin spark plugs off the SAGU bench, also changed the climate of the game in favor of the Lions by bringing fantastic intensity to the competition.
-
The Lions lead MACU 40-32 at the break. Nine SAGU players scored during the second half, contributing to a balanced effort that kept the Evangels at bay.

JJ Boling made hustling plays throughout the second half, scoring all eight of his points to propel SAGU to victory.
