Waxahachie, TX: On Monday evening at the Sheaffer Center in Waxahachie, Texas, the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lady Lions women's basketball team played a Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) contest against the John Brown University (JBU) Golden Eagles.Â

The Lady Lions were defeated by the Golden Eagles 74-65.

Taylor Moravcik began the game dominantly, splashing a three-point attempt, snatching rebounds in traffic, and spinning in the lane for layups. Cailyn Tucker also started the contest strongly, swishing her first three-point attempt.

Autumn Moore and Rylee Lavender's jump shots were pure in the game's first period for the Lady Lions. After an intense period, the Golden Eagles held a one-point lead, 18-17.

Neeley Tilley-Bedick caught fire in the second period scoring eleven straight points; the lefty guard was too shifty for the Golden Eagle defenders to contain.Â

At the halftime intermission, the SAGU Lady Lions had a 38-32 advantage over John Brown, the Lady Lion's leading scorers were Rylee Lavender and Neeley Tilley-Bedick, who both scored eleven points.Â

At halftime, Autumn Moore recorded six assists.

In the third quarter, the Golden Eagles shot the ball efficiently. SAGU struggled from behind the arc, shooting only 26 percent, unable to match the Golden Eagles' domination from a distance. The Golden Eagles eventually defeated SAGU mainly to a John Brown triple bombardment.

Autumn Moore led SAGU in scoring with 15 points and added seven rebounds and eight assists, flirting with a triple-double.Â

Rylee Lavender added 14 points, and Neeley Tilley-Bedick and Taylor Moravcik scored 13.
