Oklahoma City, OK – On Saturday afternoon at Ann Lacy Stadium in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lady Lions softball team faced the Oklahoma City University (OCU) Stars in a doubleheader to close their Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) series.

Game 1:
The Lady Lions had a strong start, scoring the first run of the game in the second inning. But the Stars answered back with six runs of their own and didn't look back. Oklahoma City took a 3-0 lead in the series after their 9 to1 win in game one of today's doubleheader.

The Stars scored in the first inning of play, driving in two runs in the bottom of the first.Â
SAGU came back swinging to recapture the lead in the top of the fourth inning to overtake the lead, 3-2.
The Stars wouldn't end their fight, putting three more runs on the board in the bottom of the fourth. The Lady Lions lost the hard fought game 5-3 to end the four game series.
In game two, Sasha Jennings and Arcelie Mares both had 2 hits each, and the Lions had 2 RBIs in total.
Trista Ford pitched 6 innings, throwing a strikeout on the mound for the Lady Lions.
