Waxahachie, TX – On Saturday afternoon in Waxahachie, Texas, the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lady Lions softball team opened their Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) series against the Southwestern Christian University (SCU) Eagles.

Lions ReviewÂ
The SAGU Lady Lions dropped game one of the doubleheaders to Southwestern Christian University 10-3. The SAGU Lady Lions could not add another scoring run after the fourth inning.
Airiana Magdaleno (2) and McKenzie Schulze contributed RBIs to the Lady Lion offense in their respective at-bats. In game one, SAGU totaled seven hits.
Annie Charanze had a solid performance striking out three Southwestern batters. Annie Charanze faced 22 batters and threw 42 total strikes.
The Lady Lions would rebound in game two, as a courageous home run by Trista Ford in the game's final moments determined the outcome. Â Â
For the Lady Lions, Trista Ford (2), Brooke Kinnibrugh, Candence Hopgood, Lashay Reyes (2), and Camille Bradley all contributed RBI. SAGU recorded 12 hits overall in the day's last game.Â
