Waxahachie, TX – On Sunday afternoon in Waxahachie, Texas, the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lady Lions softball team closed their Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) series against the Southwestern Christian University (SCU) Eagles.

The SAGU Lady Lions dominated game one of the doubleheaders to Southwestern Christian University 8-0. The SAGU Lady Lions had Airiana Magdaleno , McKenzie Schulze , Brooke Kinnibrugh and Lashay Reyes record RBIs .Â
SAGU has stolen bases collected from Airiana Magdaleno and Sasha Jennings. The duo displayed cunning baserunning ability.Â
Facing 20 batters in five innings pitched, Trista Ford struck out three Southwestern batters and let up just five hits.Â
In the day's final game the Lady Lions saw success in their at bat attempts but were not able to score enough runs to keep Southwestern Christian from regaining and keeping the lead to win with a score of 8-6.
For the Lady Lions, Trista Ford, Brooke Kinnibrugh, Candence Hopgood, and Madyson Wiggins all contributed RBIs. SAGU recorded eight hits overall in the day's last game.Â
Sasha Jennings, Trista Ford, and Airiana Magdaleno all stole bases. One SCU batter had been dismissed by Annie Charanze.
