Waxahachie, Texas - In an exciting road matchup on a sunny Monday afternoon in Shreveport, Louisiana, the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lady Lions soccer team faced off against the Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) Pilots. The Lady Lions came into this game hungry for a win after enduring a challenging two-game losing streak, and they left the field with their heads held high, victorious with a score of 2-0.
 

Lions Review 
The first half of the game saw both teams battling fiercely, with neither side willing to yield an inch of ground. The Lady Lions' defense held strong, and their goalkeeper Zoe Boldt made some crucial saves to keep LSUS at bay. However, it was the second half where the magic happened for SAGU.

At the 64:47 mark, the Lady Lions made their move, and it was Anna Bewley who struck first. With swift, determined long strides, Anna found herself in the perfect position and unleashed a powerful shot that found the back of the LSUS net, sending SAGU fans into euphoria.

As the clock ticked down, the Lady Lions were not content with just one goal. At the 84:10 mark, Anessa Garcia sealed the deal for the visiting team. Her precision and skill were on full display as she put the final dagger in the home team's hopes of a comeback, securing the 2-0 victory for SAGU. The Lady Lions' win was not just about breaking a losing streak; it was a testament to their resilience, teamwork, and unwavering determination. Throughout the game, Zoe Boldt showcased her extraordinary skills and unwavering determination. She recorded a remarkable nine saves, denying LSUS the opportunity to find the back of the net. Each save was a testament to her incredible reflexes, keen anticipation, and her unyielding commitment to keeping the Lady Lions defense firm. Zoe Boldt's performance was nothing short of heroic, earning her the admiration of fans, teammates, and opponents alike.
