Waxahachie, TX - In a breathtaking showcase of skill and teamwork, the Lion men's soccer team of Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) delivered a dazzling performance on the pristine field of the Lions Athletic Complex in Waxahachie, Texas. The Friday afternoon matchup against Randall University left spectators in awe as the Lions exhibited their dominance from start to finish.

From the opening whistle, the Lions set the tone with an extraordinary display of offensive prowess.
Ethan Stewart led the charge with two remarkable first-half goals, showcasing his scoring prowess and setting the stage for what would become a truly remarkable contest.
However, it wasn't just Stewart who left his mark on the scoreboard. Pedro Figueiredo Mattoso, Guilherme Ravaneda, and John Garcia all contributed with first-half goals, demonstrating the depth of talent within the Lions' roster. The lion's share of the assists came from the gifted Isaiah Waddy, who played a pivotal role in three of the goals, delivering pinpoint passes with a delicate touch. Guilherme Ravaneda also played a crucial part with an assist of his own.
As the second half unfolded, the Lion reserves took the field, maintaining their intensity and defensive prowess to shut out Randall University and preserve the commanding lead. It was a testament to the Lions' depth and commitment to excellence on both ends of the field.

With this dominant victory in the books, the Lion men's soccer team now looks ahead to their next challenge. On September 26th at 3:15 PM, they are set to face off against Southwestern Christian University in Bethany, Oklahoma.
