Lady Lions Dominate SAC Showdown Against SCU Lady Eagles

Bethany, OK - The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lady Lions volleyball team clashed with the Southwestern Christian University (SCU) Lady Eagles in Bethany, Oklahoma. Eager to bounce back from their previous Sooner Athletic Confernce (SAC) loss, the Lady Lions were nothing short of focused and determined as they took to the court on Friday evening.

Lions Review 
The Lady Lions showcased their unwavering commitment to excellence as they swept the Lady Eagles in a commanding fashion, securing victory in three dominant sets with scores of 25-14, 25-9, and 25-7. This resounding win not only rejuvenates the Lady Lions' winning streak but also resets their streak of three-set victories.

Leading the charge for the Lady Lions was Lilly Hanna, whose remarkable performance on the offensive end left a lasting impact. Hanna recorded an impressive 11 kills with a stellar hit percentage of .769. Mackenzie Smith and Bailee Alexander contributed significantly to the offensive firepower with nine and seven kills, respectively.

The playmaking department was in excellent hands, as Riley Burcham orchestrated the offense with 23 brilliant assists, while Cassidy Hargesheimer added 15 assists to keep the Lady Lions in rhythm. The defensive prowess of the team was equally outstanding, with Tessa Glick and Lindi Boling combining for 23 digs, and Madison Petten contributing seven digs to ensure that the Lady Lions held their ground.

Head SAGU volleyball coach Hank Moore commended the team's performance, stating, "Kids played well tonight and played in rhythm all night. We had zero passing errors in three sets. Passing and serving led to some great play. Lilly Hanna had one of her best matches of her career."

Next Up
With this resounding victory, the Lady Lions now look ahead to their next challenge. On September 29th at 6:00 PM, they will face off against Wayland Baptist University (Texas) at the Sheaffer Center in Waxahachie, Texas.
