Waxahachie, TX - In an electrifying showdown to kick off the new year, the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lady Lions clashed with the Oklahoma City University (OCU) Stars in a Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) battle at the Sheaffer Center in Waxahachie, Texas. The Lady Lions, led by the sensational Chanie Chambers, emerged victorious with a convincing 76-59 win.

From the opening tip-off, Wendy Clemmons orchestrated a dynamic offensive symphony, involving Autumn Moore and Kyla McMinn. Rylee Lavender's flashy moves and a relentless full-court press kept the home crowd electrified. Chanie Chambers, in a career night, found success beyond the arc, sinking consecutive three-pointers to close the first period.
The Lady Lions continued their shooting success in the second quarter, with Rylee Lavender's feathery jumpshots and Neeley Tilley-Bedick's scoring contributions on both ends of the court. At halftime, the Lady Lions held a commanding 44-27 lead.
In the second half, Chanie Chambers dominated, showcasing unstoppable scoring talents. Despite strong defensive efforts, the Lady Lions maintained offensive momentum, securing a well-deserved victory with Chambers leading the charge.
