Waxahachie, TX - The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lady Lions showcased their prowess on the diamond as they engaged in a thrilling doubleheader against the Texas College Steers in Tyler, Texas.

Game 1 saw the Lady Lions roar to victory with a commanding 2-0 triumph. Cadence Hopgood led the charge, going 2 for 3 while notching a run, an RBI, and a stolen base. Kaeli Lynn and Sasha Jennings also made impactful contributions at the plate and on the base paths. Natalie Zamora dominated from the mound, securing a complete game shutout with seven innings of stellar pitching.
However, Game 2 presented a formidable challenge, resulting in a 7-3 loss for the Lady Lions. Despite the setback, Trista Ford and McKenzie Schulze showcased their offensive skills, each scoring crucial runs. Macie Blizzard battled valiantly on the mound but ultimately fell short against a determined Texas College lineup.

Looking ahead, the Lady Lions remain undeterred as they prepare to face Mid-America Christian University in a doubleheader on February 23rd in Oklahoma City, OK.Â
