Oklahoma City, OK - The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lady Lions embarked on a journey to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to engage in a thrilling Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) doubleheader against the Mid-America Christian University (MACU) Evangels. The day unfolded with a blend of triumph and challenge for the Lady Lions, as they split the series with MACU.
Game 1
In the opener of this conference showdown, the Lady Lions showcased their resilience by clinching a hard-fought 2-1 triumph over MACU. Sasha Jennings ignited the offense, going 2 for 4 at the plate and crossing the plate for a pivotal run. Trista Ford delivered a standout performance, batting 2 for 4 with a crucial double and driving in two runs. Aracelie Mares contributed to the offensive effort, going 1 for 2 and scoring a run. On the mound, Natalie Zamora exhibited her prowess, securing her 4th win of the season with a stellar complete game effort.
