Oklahoma City, OK - The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lady Lions embarked on a journey to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to close a thrilling Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) doubleheader series against the Mid-America Christian University (MACU) Evangels.

Game 1
In the first game of the day against MACU, the Lady Lions fell short in a nail-biting 3-2 battle. Sasha Jennings showcased her prowess at the plate, going 1 for 3 and scoring 2 runs, while Trista Ford contributed with a 1 for 3 performance including a crucial double and 2 RBIs. Despite Natalie Zamora's valiant effort on the mound, pitching 6 innings and allowing just 2 earned runs with 4 strikeouts, the Lady Lions couldn't secure the win.

Game 2
The second game of the day saw the Lady Lions engage in another hard-fought contest, ultimately losing a tight 2-1 fight against MACU. Sasha Jennings continued to shine, going 2 for 4 and scoring a run, alongside standout performances from McKenzie Schulze and others. Valerie Guzman delivered a commendable 5-inning performance on the mound, with Macie Blizzard providing solid relief pitching. However, despite their best efforts, the Lady Lions fell short in the final inning, with Natalie Zamora shouldering the loss.

Despite the setbacks, the SAGU Lady Lions look ahead to their next contest on Feb 27 (Tue) at 1:00 PM against Dallas Christian College in Farmers Branch, TX.Â
