Waxahachie, TX - In a riveting Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) showdown, the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lady Lions roared to a commanding win against the Oklahoma Panhandle State University (OPSU) Aggies at the Sheaffer Center in Waxahachie, Texas.

From the onset, Neeley Tilley-Bedick set the tone, utilizing the bank shots to precision, while Kyla McMinn dominated the low blocks with finesse, propelling the Lady Lions to an early lead. The first quarter closed with the Lady Lions ahead 19 to 10.
The second quarter saw Agar Farres Garcia steal the spotlight, leaving spectators in awe with a mesmerizing step-back jumper followed by a sequence of electrifying plays, including a thunderous block. Notably, Farres Garcia's tenacious performance on the boards secured her a place in SAGU history, surpassing the single-season rebounding record set in 2014.
At halftime, the Lady Lions commanded a 37-16 lead, fueled by Farres Garcia's double-double and McMinn's impressive contributions.
Maintaining their dominance in the paint, the Lady Lions stifled any hopes of an OPSU resurgence with relentless pressure and impeccable communication. Farres Garcia's sheer dominance in the closing moments solidified SAGU's victory, sealing the final score at 61-32.
