Lavender's Lethal Shooting Leads Lady Lions to Dominant Victory Over Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City, OK - In a riveting showdown within the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC), the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lady Lions unleashed a dominant performance against the Oklahoma City University (OCU) Stars in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The Lady Lions wasted no time asserting their dominance, with Agar Farres Garcia setting the tone early with a thunderous rebound putback. Rylee Lavender dazzled in the first half, pouring in 19 points, while Neeley Tilley-Beddick added 10 points of her own.

Lavender's highlight-reel moment came with a jaw-dropping step-back three-pointer, followed by Tilley-Beddick's steal and coast-to-coast layup, leaving the crowd in awe. The Lady Lions headed into halftime with a commanding 44-26 lead over the Stars.

Assistant Coach Jordan Kite's halftime encouragement to stay disciplined and share the ball paid dividends, as the Lady Lions racked up an impressive 22 assists, with Wendy Clemens, Neeley Tilley-Beddick, and Kyla McMinn each contributing four assists.

Rylee Lavender continued her offensive onslaught, finishing the game with a staggering 27 points, including seven three-pointers, while also making her presence felt on the defensive end with five steals. Chanie Chambers added 12 points to the scoreboard, while Agar Farres Garcia notched a double-double with 10 points and an impressive 16 rebounds.

In the end, the Lady Lions emerged victorious with a resounding 87-50 win, coming within one three-pointer of tying their program record with 18 made threes.

With momentum on their side, the Lady Lions set their sights on their next challenge as they prepare to face John Brown University on February 10th at 2:00 PM in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
